Railtown 1897 State Historic Park (209) 984-3953
Located in Jamestown, California, Railtown 1897 State Historic Park is
home to one of America’s last authentic,
operating railroad roundhouses. Known as
“The Movie Railroad,” Railtown’s locomotives
and cars have appeared in over 200 film and
TV productions, including High Noon, Back to
the Future III, and Petticoat Junction. Tours of
the Historic Jamestown Shops and Roundhouse are available daily.
Weekends April-October (plus selected weekends November-
December), ride behind a real steam locomotive.

Bluegrass Jam on the second and fourth Fridays of each month. Open to
everyone, experienced or beginner, just bring your instrument and drop
in at 7pm.

Mother Lode Round-Up Parade & Rodeo

One of the Largest Parades in Californian.

celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with us
Round-Up style! This year marks the 52nd
Annual Mother Lode Round-Up that takes
place in the historic town of Sonora. Saturday’s parade at 10 am is
recognized as the second largest parade in California.

Mother Lode Fair is attended by over 275,000 who look forward to the
fun and excitement. 4-H'ers and exhibitors participate in a miriad of
events. Entertainment, concerts, food,music and a carnival mid-way
contribute to this annual event.

Magic Of The Night ~ Summertime Celebration - Sonora

This summertime celebration includes live music,
street dancing, special merchants sales, foods and
it's free to the public. Presented by the City of
Sonora.

Mother Lode Art Show "57th Annual" (209)532-2399
This judged fine art show displays many works in all medias by local
and regional artists. Refreshments will be served. 7pm Friday evening
winners will be anounced. Sunday at 2pm raffle prizes will be
anounced. The Grand prize will be an original piece of art by one of the
local artists. We will also have many other great raffle prizes. Sponsored
by Mother Lode Art Association.
